I am the youngest of 4 and an aunt of 6, my niece and nephews are the reason I choose the carrier path I did as well. I really enjoy watching children grow and play and see how much they change along the way! A little more about me, I bought a house here in Springfield in January of 2020 and welcomed my son Baylor Schwanke in November of 2020. I am currently going to college now online for my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. I have been a lead teacher for 5 plus years in various different age groups. I was also a nanny for 2 years and a receptionist/ office assistant for 2 years. The most rewarding part of being a part of Grandkids and V.I.K. Club is getting to work with all the kids and watching them grow and learn everyday, also seeing them interact with the grandparents here at St. John’s along with getting to work with this wonderful staff. I am most excited to see the children and residents together more and more!
Emma Pingeon
Hi,I am Emma Pingeon. I am a senior at Springfield High School this year and will be graduating in May of 2023. In school, I am involved in Choir, Band, Student Council, and Yearbook Committee. Outside of school, I dance for Just For Kix and this will also be my second year as an assistant coach. Growing up, I took a huge role in my life as always making sure my sisters were cared for when my parents separated. I was in 2nd grade, learning how to go back and forth from houses, and making sure my sisters and I had what we needed. My childhood upbringing has always made me want to become a teacher. Now that I am a senior it is crazy to think that I still have the same dreams as I did in my childhood. After High School, I plan to attend a 4-year college and earn a degree in Elementary Education and Youth Ministry. I have a passion for children, learning, and Jesus. I have decided to put that all together to be able to teach younger children in school and about God. I am the middle child of 6 kids. I have 1 brother and 4 sisters. I am going to be an aunt at the end of October to my oldest sister’s son! We are so excited to have a little boy in our family. Some of my favorite things to do are going shopping, organizing, writing in my planner, journaling, spending time with my sisters, and dancing, of course! I am so excited to be apart of this community to help educate all of the children, and make sure they know that they are loved, cared for, and worthy!
