Give Today!
We are excited to announce the launch of our Leaves of Change “Give to the Max” fundraising campaign throughout November, culminating on November 21, 2024. This initiative reflects our commitment to providing the best possible living experience for your loved ones at the Maples of St. Johns.
We are truly fortunate to live in a community that generously supports long-term care. The Maples and St. Johns thrive when we work together with our community. Our goal is to raise $35,000 for essential improvements that will enhance the comfort and functionality of our care environment.
Skilled Nursing Community
St. Johns is a non-profit, church-related, skilled nursing home with 65 beds. St. John Lutheran Home has a focus in being a memory support community.
Senior Housing with Services
We feel that you should be able to continue to live life on you own terms. We make day to day living easier by offering the right amount of services and care at the right time.
Senior Living Apartments
Enjoy freedom from snow shoveling, lawn mowing, and home repair. Sit back, relax and enjoy your freedom at Cottonwood!
Grandkids & V.I.K. Club
Each day children in our care interact with the residents of St. John’s Circle of Care. Routine activities include reading stories, singing songs, creating crafts, and eating together.
Therapeutic Recreation
The Therapeutic Recreation Department provides program opportunities modified to the needs and abilities of the residents, promoting independence and contributing to a healthier mind, body, and soul. Our goal is to improve and maintain cognitive skills, coordination, and strength and endurance all while enjoying every moment together.

When Mom moved to St. John’s Lutheran Home, she had just lost her husband and was overcome with grief. St. John’s immediately took her into a warm embrace. From Mom’s first day forward, the staff has been wonderfully supportive and attentive to the individual interests and needs of all of their residents.
Timothy Pearson, son of resident
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You” as Roy (Therkilsen) would say. For the complete staff of St. John’s, you don’t know how good you are. We, his family, will be eternally grateful. Please know how much his family thinks of you. As you fill your days know that you made Roy’s as good as they could be.
