SJLH Alzheimer’s Memory Walk Through the ups and the downs, we walk together?
Today, over 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and additional neurocognitive disorders. In addition, 10 million baby boomers are aging, increasing their risk for developing this fatal disease.
St. John's Circle of Care is hosting their annual Memory Walk/Run to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's and enhance memory care locally at St. John's. Join us for the Memory Walk, Saturday morning, September 26th. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m. We will gather at the front entrance of St. John Lutheran Home. With our 125th Anniversary this year, we're hoping to make this our biggest and best walk yet but we need your help to get there!
Join Our Community Challenge Through the ups and the downs, we walk together? Form a team of family, friends, club members, church members or coworkers for just $50 (not including t-shirts), and compete for a traveling trophy, a photo in the newspaper, and a social media feature.
St. John's Circle of Care is asking for your support. Please consider donating, sponsoring, building a team, and walking to end Alzheimer's. Proceeds will go to special programming for our Riverhaven memory care unit, for activities and supplies/equipment that benefit our residents. We also donate a portion of the funds raised to the Alzheimer's Association in efforts to find a cure. Walk in memory of a loved one, to honor a loved one, or simply to help spread awareness.
