Chris Stark, Director and Lead Preschool Teacher
chris stark Chris has worked on and off at St. John’s since 1984. She has served as a Nurse’s Aid, Social Work Intern, Part-Time Infant Teacher and Full-Time Toddler Teacher. Since 2004, she has served as Director of GrandKids/V.I.K. and Preschool Teacher. She ran her own day care for 15 years before attending MSU to obtain a degree in Social Work. She is married to Jamie; has four children – Mandi, Omar, Tyler and Ryan; and two grandchildren – Dominic and Teagan. She loves watching Tiger football and baseball games, going to the lake, reading and spending time with her grandkids.
   
Teresa Lang, 4 to K Teacher and V.I.K. Club Teacher
  Teresa has been teaching at St. John’s since 2004 and helped create the 4 to K program. She had her own in-home day care for 17 years before earning her elementary education degree from Minnesota State University. During the summer, she serves as the Mentor Teacher for the Tri-Valley Migrant Head Start program. Teresa is married to Tom. She has three children – Josh, Travis, and Teri; and two grandchildren – Niklas and Kayce. In her spare time she likes to walk, read, cook and bake, watch softball, rock climb, camp and spend time with her family. 
   
Shandel Sell, Lead Toddler Teacher
Shandel Sell Shandel has worked at GrandKids since 2007. She has worked in a child care setting since receiving her Child Development degree from South Central Technical College in 2005. She and her husband, Josh, have one son – Colten. As a family they enjoy camping and are Tony Stewart fans. 
   
Amanda Ryan,  Infant Teacher
  Amanda has a degree in Child Development from South Central Technical College and has two years of child care experience. She and her boyfriend, Eric, have two sons – Talan and Tate. When not working, Amanda likes to play with her boys, read and enjoy the outdoors.
   
 
 
   
 
   
Liz Jensen, Part-time Teacher
Liz Jensen Liz has worked at GrandKids/V.I.K. since 2007. Before joining the staff, she had her own in-home day care. Liz is married to Josh. They have two daughters – Haley and Kelsey. In her free time, Liz likes to spend time with her girls at the park and swimming pool. They enjoy time at the lake during the summer.
   
Jerrine Kettner, Part-time Teacher
jerrine kettner Jerrine has worked at GrandKids for six years and has experience as a substitute at local in-home day cares. She also works at the Springfield Public Library. She and her husband, Jerome, have four children and eight grandchildren. Jerrine enjoys reading, sewing, camping, and traveling in her free time.
