On July 25th Chris and one additional person will travel to Washington D.C. for the Generations United conference where Chris has been chosen to present.  St. John’s GrandKids will also be honored at the banquet for their 2010 award.  It will be a wonderful conference and learning experience

In 2010 St.John’s GrandKids was one of 5 nationwide recipients to receive the  Generations United/Metlife Foundation Intergenerational Shared Site Excellence Award.

This award is for best practices in intergenerational shared site work around the country. The focus is on intergenerational projects that build relationships between the generations through both frequent scheduled intergenerational activities and unplanned encounters
