V.I.K. Club

V.I.K Club (Very Important Kids) offers school-age children a safe and fun educational environment. V.I.K. is open during the school year before starting at 7 a.m. and after school until 6 p.m. It also offers care on snow days, vacation days, and early dismissal days. The summer V.I.K. program runs each weekday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During the school year, V.I.K. Club offers:

  • Before- and after-school care
  • Breakfast and afternoon snack
  • Homework help
  • Outdoor play (weather permitting)
  • Free time for your child to explore his or her interests (crafts, games, dramatic play, computer)

Summer V.I.K. plans a full day of activities to keep your child active and learning during the summer.

  • Weekly themes such as Mighty Minnesota, Fun in the Sun, and Amazing Animals
  • Daily main events including trips to the pool, library and local businesses
  • Multiple outdoor times each day, including play on the new intergenerational playground
  • Free time for your child to explore his or her interests (crafts, games, dramatic play, computer)
  • Walkers to help children get to swimming lessons and summer rec activities
  • Both recreational and education field trips

9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Thematic Activity
9:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Free Play

10:25 a.m. – 11:10 a.m. Energy Release
11:10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Music
11:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. Lunch
12:20 p.m. – 12:40 p.m. Rest
12:40 p.m. – 1 p.m. Main Event Prep
1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Main Event
3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Snack
3:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. Story Time
