Grandkids and VIK Club

 

At Grandkids you can expect:

  • Teachers with at least two-year post-secondary degrees.
  • A director with a four-year Bachelors degree.
  • Student to teacher ratio of 4:1 (infants) 7:1 (toddler), 10:1 (pre-school).
  • Intergenerational activities involving children and St. John Lutheran Home residents.
  • Individual programming and teaching for the age of your child.
  • Bi-annual license review to ensure infection control standards and quality programming.
  • Registered Nurse on staff at all times.
  • A daily account of your child's activities.
  • Meals prepared by an agency that is licensed by the Department of Health.

 

At VIK Club you can expect:
  • Transportation to and from local schools.
  • Reasonable rates.
  • Student teacher ratio of 15:1
  • Off day kindergarten, latchkey and holiday break care.
  • Developmentally appropriate activities for 5-12 year olds.
  • Specialized summer program

Specialized infant, toddler, preschool and school age classrooms and teachers plan developmentally appropriate curriculum that incorporates both generations through:

  • Art activities
  • Social interaction
  • Musical fun
  • Cooking experiments
  • Field trips
  • Service projects

St. John's Grandkids/VIK Club is the only State Licensed intergenerational child daycare facilities in Brown County that meets the needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children.

 
Operation Information:
  • Open Monday - Friday
    • Grandkids open 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
    • VIK open 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Full time, part-time, and drop-ins accepted.
  • High quality child-care at a reasonable rate.
